Click 'Add Passage' to save this section of your quiz.
Adding Multiple Passages:
If the quiz requires more passages, repeat the above steps.
Organise and title each passage clearly for seamless quiz navigation.
After adding your passages, you can start to add quiz questions. This is the next step in the quiz creation process.
Once your reading passages are in place, you can begin adding questions. Here's how to add questions in 'ProQyz':
Select the section you want to create questions for, in this example 'Reading test 1' section, then click the 'Questions' tab.
Choose a passage to add questions to by using the 'Choose Passage' dropdown menu.
Click the '+ Add Question' button.
In the 'Add Reading Question' menu, select the 'Input Type' for your question from the dropdown menu, which include:
Fill-up (for gap fill type questions)
Radio (for single-choice questions)
Select (for dropdown selection questions)
Checkbox (for multiple-choice questions)
Fill-up questions require participants to type answers into blank spaces. This is ideal for testing precise recall or understanding of the passage.
Fill-up Questions
To add Fill-up questions, where a user types the answer, use curly brackets {answer}
for a single answer or {answer1|answer2}
for multiple possible answers.
Each fill-up enclosed in brackets is considered one question.
Radio Questions
Radio questions present multiple-choice options with only one correct answer (sometimes called single choice questions).
Add a question and list all options, marking the correct answer.
Multiple radio questions can be included on a single page.
Select Questions
Select questions allow users to choose from dropdown options.
Determine the input type (e.g., 'A (Capital Alphabets)') and the number of options (e.g., 7).
Within the question content, place the correct answer in curly brackets, like {A}
or {B}
. In the student preview, brackets will be replaced with dropdown menus where the bracket letter represents the correct answer.
Checkbox Questions
Checkbox questions offer several options where more than one can be correct (sometimes called multiple choice or multiple answer type questions).
Each correct option counts as a single answer for scoring purposes.
If multiple options are correct, the question's value equals the number of correct options.
Add Explanations: For each question, you can provide an explanation to give feedback or clarify the correct answer upon review.
Preview and Finish: Utilize the preview feature to see how the test will appear to users. Make adjustments as needed and save your changes.
